ORLANDO, Fla. – A flight was turned back to the Orlando International Airport on Wednesday due to an “unusual odor,” according to the airline.
Flight data shows that the Frontier Airlines flight initially took off for San Juan in Puerto Rico around 3:30 p.m.
But shortly after leaving, the plane turned around and headed back to MCO, arriving there at 4:40 p.m.
News 6 reached out to Frontier Airlines for more details on why the flight returned. A spokesperson for the airline provided the following statement:
Flight 1824, traveling from Orlando to San Juan, had to return to Orlando after flight attendants detected an unusual odor onboard.
