Kamala Harris Talks a Bunch, Says Nothing

My grandfather used to tell me that having two ears and one mouth meant I should listen more than I speak. He was a talkative person, well-liked by everyone in our town until he passed away in 1975. He understood the importance of knowing when to be quiet and pay attention.

It seems like Kamala Harris could benefit from learning this lesson as well. Every time she speaks, she seems to struggle with getting her message across effectively. Recently, during a speech at Prince George’s County Community College, she delivered a confusing and jumbled message that left many scratching their heads.

During her latest speech, Vice President Kamala Harris encouraged young voters to stay involved in politics, especially as her potential opponent for the 2024 election returns to the White House. This speech marked her first significant public appearance since conceding her loss in the previous election.

“The true test of our commitment is whether in the face of an obstacle: Do we throw up our hands — or do we roll up our sleeves?” Harris, 60, said during a speech at Prince George’s County Community College in Maryland, before heavily implying that the main impediment to her audience would be President-elect Donald Trump.

“And I ask you to remember the context in which you exist,” the vice president said, pausing slightly and then adding with a laugh, “Yeah, I did that. Uh-huh.”

OK, let’s deconstruct these remarks.

First: “The true test of our commitment is whether in the face of an obstacle: Do we throw up our hands — or do we roll up our sleeves?” Well, Madam Vice President, we all know what you did in the face of the last obstacle; you ran one of the worst presidential campaigns in the history of the republic against a man who had all the might and fury of the legacy media and the Democratic Party (but I repeat myself) stacked against him, a man who was facing unfounded lawfare on all sides — and you lost. You lost. There’s no point in rolling up your sleeves now because you already lost.

And there’s that cackle again.

Second: “And I ask you to remember the context in which you exist,” the vice president said, pausing slightly and then adding with a laugh, “Yeah, I did that. Uh-huh.” Wait, what? The context in which you exist? Like…reality? OK, scratch that; many of the young skulls full of mush that lined up to see Kamala Harris spew out another word salad probably have only a nodding acquaintance with reality. But that “Yeah, I did that. Uh-huh.” Really? When did she “remember the context in which (she) existed”? How, precisely, does one go about this?
