NWS issues Severe Thunderstorm Warning for several Northeast Ohio counties

CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the western portion of Huron County until 5:45 p.m.

By 5:02 p.m., the National Weather Service (NWS) had issued a warning stating that a severe thunderstorm was situated near Bellevue, around 15 miles west of Norwalk, and was heading southeast at a speed of 10 mph. This storm has the potential to bring about 60 mph wind gusts, leading to possible damage to trees and power lines.

According to the 3News Weather Team, we may be dealing with similar kinds of storms over the next several days. 

Our team recommended being prepared for sporadic rainfall occurrences as not everyone will experience rain daily, and the extent of coverage will fluctuate from day to day. However, anticipate isolated storms showing up on radar every afternoon and evening until the following Monday. If you have weekend plans, Sunday is currently projected to have less storm coverage compared to Saturday.
