What Time Does ‘Squid Game 3’ Come Out?

Squid Game shocked Netflix viewers with its Season 2 cliffhanger ending last Christmas. Player 456, Lee Jung-Jae, orchestrated a rebellion with his allies against the game-makers, only to be defeated. The surprising twist revealed Player 001, Lee Byung-hun, as the Front Man, betraying his comrades and causing more chaos. The murder of Park Jung-bae added to the intense finale, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the resolution in the upcoming Season 3.

Squid Game is the brainchild of Korean filmmaker Hwang Dong-hyuk, depicting a dark world where cash-strapped individuals risk their lives in deadly games for a chance at wealth. Each game’s loser faces a fatal consequence, adding an intense and deadly layer to the competition.

The first season of Squid Game concluded with Seong Gi-hun, also known as Player 456, emerging victorious but deeply scarred. Season 2 shifts focus to Gi-hun seeking retribution, utilizing his newfound wealth to hunt down the organization behind the games. Despite his efforts to dismantle the sinister group, Gi-hun finds himself back in the lethal games, this time aiming to rescue as many participants as possible. Tragically, his endeavor results in the loss of his loyal friend, Jung-bae.

So what’s next for Player 456? Can he save any of his remaining allies? Maybe the pregnant Player 222 (Jo Yu-ri) or the maternal Player 149 (Kang Ae-shim)? Will the Front Man’s brother, Detective Hwang (Wi Ha-joon), ever find the island where the games are held? Who will live, who will die, and what other games will the characters be forced to play?

Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch Squid Game Season 3 on Netflix…

The entire third season of Squid Game will hit Netflix on Friday, June 27 at the same time. You’ll be able to binge the entire season as soon as it’s live on the streaming site.

There are 6 episodes in total in Squid Game Season 3 and they will release all at once.

Squid Game Season 2 followed Player 456 as he attempted to stop the games by going back in, with the hopes that Detective Hwang could track him. While inside, Gi-hun initially worked to save as many lives as possible, but as soon as he started helping people survive, the Front Man decided to enter as Player 001. The two team up and eventually convince other skeptics of the game to launch a rebellion against the game-makers.

Squid Game Season 2 ends with the Front Man revealing himself and sabotaging the revolt. He murders Gi-hun’s best friend in front of him and blames this atrocity on 456’s desire to play the hero. Meanwhile, Player 388 (Kang Ha-neul) hid in the dormitory like a coward instead of returning to the battle with more magazines, which could have made a material difference in the fight.

The pregnant Jun-hee and her crypto-shilling ex (Yim Si-wan) are still alive, as are the mother/son pair of Players 149 and 007 (Yang Dong-geun), and transgender Player 120 (Park Sung-soon).

There sure is! You can scroll to the top of this page to see the trailer for the third and final season of Squid Game.
