During the closing arguments of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial, a U.S. prosecutor accused him of utilizing “violence and fear” to manage a criminal operation that enabled him to engage in sex trafficking with two ex-girlfriends. The prosecutor, Christy Slavik, emphasized how Combs relied on power, violence, and fear to achieve his desires, believing that his fame, wealth, and influence exempted him from the law.
Slavik pointed to Ventura Fine’s purported participation in Combs’ “freak offs” as a demonstration of the coercion he exerted during sexual encounters. Prosecutors allege that Combs oversaw a criminal syndicate within an atmosphere of intimidation and fear, where individuals felt compelled to comply with his demands. The jury is anticipated to commence deliberations either late Friday or on Monday.
Some observers say the trial has shifted from a question of whether Combs committed the acts to whether he will be held accountable.
