DONALD Trump has claimed that he saved Iran’s Supreme Leader from an “ugly death” by ordering Israeli jets to turn around mid-air during an attack.
The President criticized Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for his statement suggesting that Iran had emerged victorious in the conflict, which came in response to the counterattack called Operation Midnight Hammer launched by Trump.

In a Truth Social post, Trump raged: “I SAVED HIM FROM A VERY UGLY AND IGNOMINIOUS DEATH.
“And he does not have to say, ‘THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP!’
Iran responded to Trump’s strikes on key nuclear sites in Iran by targeting a US army base in Doha, Qatar, with a daring missile blitz.
Tehran admitted that Operation Midnight Hammer and Israeli attacks had caused “excessive and serious” damage to the nuclear facilities.
But the admission on Friday contradicted the Supreme Leader’s claims that Trump “exaggerated” the success of the sophisticated attack.
Commenting on the US military action, Trump expressed, “His Country suffered severe damage, his three nefarious Nuclear Facilities were completely destroyed, and I had precise knowledge of his whereabouts.”
Furthermore, the US President sensationalized by asserting that he had rescued the Ayatollah from harm, declaring that he was determined to prevent Israel or the immensely formidable US Armed Forces from ending the Ayatollah’s life, considering them to be the most superior and influential military forces globally.
He explained: “In fact, in the final act of the War, I demanded that Israel bring back a very large group of planes, which were heading directly to Tehran, looking for a big day, perhaps the final knockout!”
He added: “Tremendous damage would have ensued, and many Iranians would have been killed.
“It was going to be the biggest attack of the War, by far.”
Trump also blasted the Ayatollah’s claims that Iran won the war.
He said: “Why would the so-called ‘Supreme Leader,’ Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, of the war torn Country of Iran, say so blatantly and foolishly that he won the War with Israel, when he knows his statement is a lie, it is not so.
“As a man of great faith, he is not supposed to lie.”
Iran’s Foreign Minister said that US and Israeli airstrikes caused “excessive and serious damage” to the Ayatollah’s nuclear facilities.
And he shut down suggestions that the mullahs would return to the negotiating table for a nuclear deal following the devastating blitz.
Abbas Araghchi said: “I would like to state clearly that no agreement, arrangement or conversation has been made to start new negotiations.
“Don’t take Trump’s words seriously… No plan has been set yet to start negotiations.”
His words came after the White House claimed Iran’s nuclear sites had been “completely and totally obliterated” by the strikes – and said they would take years to rebuild.

The US joined Israel on decimating nuclear facilities on June 22 – launching 12 30,000lb bunker busting bombs at the most difficult target.
Then within 24 hours starting Monday, Iran launched a “very weak” response on a US air base in Qatar before a fragile ceasefire between Iran and Israel was brokered by the US.
Calls are now ringing louder for the Ayatollah’s regime to be taken down – and for a new democratic republic to take shape.
Trump hinted at regime change in a post of Truth Social as he demanded “Make Iran Great Again” – but the White House said it was not one of the authority’s official goals.
The claims came hours after Khamenei himself said the US and Israeli attacks had done “nothing significant” to their nuclear programme.
The dictator claimed victory over Israel and America despite his country being hammered in the “12 Day War”.
Khamenei added that Iran had “defeated Israel” and dealt the US a “slap” with its missile strikes on the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar – all of which were intercepted.
The Islamic despot also bizarrely claimed his rockets had hit the base in Qatar, despite his forces giving advanced warning so the rockets could be all shot down.
The Supreme Leader was last seen a week ago in a video message, but it’s two weeks since he appeared to his people in the flesh.
