A man in Texas has been charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl after allegedly providing her with drugs and coercing her into having sexual relations with him on a daily basis for approximately three months. The grand jury issued an indictment against him this week.
When she refused, he would lock her in a shed on his property, KDFM reported.
A judge gave Charles Richard McDaniel, 54, a $125,000 bond. He faces two to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine if convicted.
Groves Marshal Christopher Robin said police launched an investigation on November 30, and search and arrest warrants were executed on December 10.
Following a lead, the Groves Police uncovered that the teenager had been residing at McDaniel’s residence for the mentioned timeframe. In a statement to the authorities, the girl disclosed that she had been confined in a shed located in the backyard, where the accused supplied her with narcotics and subjected her to repeated instances of sexual assault throughout each day.
She expressed her reluctance to escape as he would at times restrict her breathing to the extent that she lost consciousness. Recounting her ordeal, she mentioned feeling completely powerless and stuck in a situation with no apparent means of liberation from the perpetrator, McDaniel.
