CHICAGO (WLS) — A man was killed in a stabbing Sunday at Navy Pier, and the suspect was seriously wounded.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 600 block of East Grand Avenue, Chicago police said.

Investigators reported that a 56-year-old man and a 64-year-old man engaged in an argument at the site, during which the older man purportedly stabbed the victim multiple times with a sharp object. The altercation escalated as the older man himself was also stabbed, although the specific cause of the argument remains unclear.
Following the incident, the victim was swiftly transported to Northwestern Memorial due to several stab wounds on his upper body. Tragically, he was later pronounced dead at the medical facility, and authorities have yet to release his identity.
Meanwhile, the suspect, who sustained a stab wound to his chest during the altercation, was also admitted to Northwestern Memorial in serious condition. Law enforcement confirmed that he was under police custody while receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
Navy Pier’s beer garden was on lockdown as police cordoned off the area to visitors as a preliminary investigation was conducted.
A spokesperson for Navy Pier tonight referring all calls to Chicago police.
While the beer garden was shut down, the rest of the pier remained operational throughout the evening, with most visitors apparently unaware of what had happened
No further information was immediately available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
