The Bachelor alum Corinne Olympios opened up about the flirtatious nature of her relationship with Johnny Bananas.
During her appearance on the “Almost Famous” podcast’s mini-series “Infamous” on Friday, June 27, Olympios, who is 33 years old, was questioned by hosts Ashley Iaconetti and Ben Higgins regarding her previous friendship with John Devenanzio, also known as Johnny Bananas from “House of Villains.”
The hosts recalled a flirtatious period between Olympios and Devenanzio, 43, back in 2023, while the duo filmed season 1 of the reality TV series.
Olympios began by revealing, “So, I’ll tell you everything right now. I was single when I met Johnny Bananas. We were flirting the entire time. I didn’t understand why he didn’t want to kiss on camera until later on, when I found out it was because of Moriah Jadea, who was apparently panicking about my presence since she knew that Johnny and I would hit it off.”
She went on to explain, “Johnny and I had this sort of flirtatious dynamic throughout, and eventually, we began seeing each other casually after the show. Eventually, we settled into a friendship.”
The reality star added that she’s been dating her “current boyfriend” named David for the past two years after meeting him during a trip to the Bahamas. “He’s, honestly, really, really great,” she explained before touching on her relationship history.
“I will say, it’s kind of a running joke in my family because my track record sucks,” Olympios said. “But all these men in the beginning are like, ‘I’m obsessed with you, I love you.’ [They] go to my dad, tell him they’re going to marry me, we move in together, it’s a whole thing, and then it kind of just, like, falls apart.”
While Olympios appears to have found true love, Devenanzio is currently single following his 2021 split from Morgan Willett, whom he dated for just over two years after meeting her on The Challenge: War of the Worlds.
Devenanzio recently made headlines for unexpected reasons after reportedly riding with NFL legend John Elway during a golf cart incident that killed his agent, Jeff Sperbeck, in May.
Footage from the fatal accident was shared and deleted by Devenanzio in the aftermath. TMZ first reported that Devenanzio was present in the golf cart and that he “tried to keep [Sperbeck] alive” following the accident.
According to the outlet, Sperbeck and Bananas were “standing on the back of the cart as Elway drove and his wife sat in the front seat.”
A cause of death was revealed two weeks after the incident, with “blunt head trauma” sustained as a result of the accident proving fatal. Sperbeck was 62 years old.
