Cleveland Hopkins International Airport shares tips ahead of holiday travel: What you need to know

Cleveland Hopkins Airport is expecting 530,000 passengers between Dec. 19-Jan. 6.

CLEVELAND — With Christmas approaching, Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE) is offering important tips for traveling during the busy holiday season. 

Cleveland Hopkins Airport is projecting a total of 530,000 passengers from December 19 to January 6 in 2025, which reflects a growth of 6% compared to last year.

Peak Travel Dates and Times

On December 20, the airport expects to handle close to 34,000 passengers, making it the busiest day during the holiday season. Additionally, December 23 and January 5 are also likely to experience high passenger traffic, with an estimated 33,000 and 32,000 travelers, respectively.

To avoid delays, CLE encourages passengers to arrive at least two hours before their flight. Peak activity times include:

  • Early Morning: 5-9 a.m.
  • Midday: 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Late Afternoon: 4-6 p.m.

In addition, if you plan on parking at Cleveland Hopkins, the daily rates are as follows: 

  • CLE Curbside Valet, $35 per day
  • The Smart Parking Garage, $23 per day
  •  The Red Lot, $21 per day
  • The Blue Lot, $21 per day
  • The Orange Lot, $18 per day
  • The Brown Lot, $16 per day

Passengers can reserve spots in the Smart Parking Garage up to 24 hours in advance at clevelandairport.com/parking-transportation.
