Lara Trump Decides Not to Pursue Major Job Opportunity

She posted her announcement to X:

After much consideration and encouragement, I have decided to withdraw my name from consideration for the United States Senate. Serving as RNC co-chair during a critical election was a true honor, and I am grateful for the overwhelming support from the people, especially those in Florida.

The tweet continues:

Thank you for all the kind messages and encouragement. I am deeply touched by the support. While I am stepping back for now, my passion for public service remains strong, and I hope to return to serving our country in the future.

I do have a big announcement that I’m excited to share in January, so, stay tuned. 

For now, I extend my best wishes to Governor DeSantis as he moves forward with the appointment process. Thank you once again for your support and understanding.

Mrs. Trump, wife of the president-elect’s second-oldest son, Eric, is coming off what is largely considered a successful run as co-chair of the Republican National Committee. She stepped down earlier in December, saying, “My work here is done.”
