Is ‘The View’ On Holiday Break? When ‘The View’ Returns With New Episodes

If you were looking forward to watching a new episode of The View today while wrapping gifts or baking cookies, we regret to inform you that you’ll be seeing a rerun instead.

The last time the hosts were on air was for their final holiday show on Dec. 20, where they discussed the concept of the “resting gift face” – the act of pretending to like a gift you’re not actually fond of.

Joy Behar humorously mentioned how it’s not challenging to fake enthusiasm for a present you didn’t want, comparing it to pretending to have an orgasm. She jokingly demonstrated how easy it is to fake excitement, exclaiming, “Wow! Oh, God! I love it! Oh, my God!”

Later, when Jamie Lee Curtis joined the ladies around the table, she also had a rather filthy remark to make about the holiday season. After handing out presents to Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin, Curtis admitted, “I am Scrooge’s slightly slutty sister,” prompting Behar to jokingly ask, “Slightly?”

It’s moments like these that keep us tuning in every day! If you’re wondering why The View is airing re-runs, why The View is on hiatus and when The View will be back, you’ve come to to the right spot. Here’s everything we know.

Thankfully, The View has not been canceled. The show isn’t airing new episodes this week because they are on a holiday hiatus. The next two weeks will feature encore episodes of The View before the show returns with its regularly scheduled programming in the new year.
