Beyoncé’s NFL Christmas Halftime Show Will Only Be Available To Stream For A Few Hours

Netflix is starting its inaugural Christmas Gameday this week with consecutive live broadcasts of the Chiefs-Steelers and Ravens-Texans games.

But many viewers will also be tuning in for what will surely be a memorable halftime performance from Beyoncé, who is set to perform songs from her recent country album Cowboy Carter for the very first time. Like many Beyoncé projects, details regarding the halftime performance are being kept under wraps. But Netflix teases that she will be featuring artists who appeared on the album.

A new report from Variety reveals that fans will only be able to rewatch her performance – and the game – for just a few hours under Netflix’s agreement with the NFL.

The outlet reports that Netflix has agreed to only stream the two Christmas games for three hours after the livestream ends. This means the Chiefs-Steelers game will not be available to stream after around 8 p.m. ET, while Beyoncé’s performance and the Ravens-Texans game will no longer be available after approximately 11 p.m. ET.

This gameday marks the start of Netflix’s three-season deal with the NFL. The streamer will also livestream the Christmas games in 2025 and 2026.

Christmas Gameday will begin streaming live on Netflix Wednesday Dec 25 at 1 p.m. ET with the Kansas City Chiefs vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers game. Mariah Carey will kick off the day with a pre-recorded performance of her holiday classic, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

The Baltimore Ravens vs. the Houston Texans game will began at 4:30 p.m. ET. Beyoncé is expected to perform live at halftime during the Ravens-Texans game.

Fans who are not able to tune into Netflix’s livestream will also be able to catch the games and the performances on the NFL Network.

Per Variety, the NFL Network will air the Ravens-Texans on Wednesday, Dec. 25, at 11:30 p.m. ET and Thursday, Dec. 26, at 5 a.m. ET. The Chiefs-Steelers game will air on the NFL Network at 8:30 p.m. ET and Dec. 26 at 2 a.m. ET.

The games will also be available to stream on NFL+ Premium and DAZN after they air live on Netflix.

Netflix subscribers on all paid plans will be able to tune into the live event. Viewers will also have the ability to pause, rewind, and restart the broadcast after it begins.

The Christmas Gameday will include ads, even for those who play for ad-free viewing.
