An individual who was previously a candidate for mayor in Gainesville, Florida, and was recently reported missing, has been apprehended and accused of murder.
Adam Arthur Rosenthal, aged 39, was taken into custody by the Giles County Sheriff’s Office for his alleged involvement in the death of Darren Gabrel. Rosenthal faces charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and tampering with evidence, as per the Independent.
Gabrel’s body was found Tuesday afternoon on a property in Pulaski, Tennessee, about 75 miles outside of Nashville.
Following the discovery of Gabrel’s deceased body, The Pulaski Citizen stated that two search warrants were executed. One warrant was carried out at a property on Ichabod Lane, while the other was at a residence on Glendale Drive in Pulaski. These locations are both owned and utilized by the local religious community known as The Twelve Tribes.
Giles County Sheriff Joe Purvis stated that the victim had been a long-time member of The Twelve Tribes, while Rosenthal had recently become affiliated with the group approximately six to nine months ago.
A motive for the murder has not been released, according to the Independent.
Rosenthal is being held at the Giles County Jail, and his court date is scheduled for December 10.
