A Tennessee woman allegedly stabbed the father of her child during a custody exchange and didn’t seem too worried about it in her mug shot.
Justyce Knowles, a 25-year-old woman, was taken into custody at Shelby County Jail in Memphis, Tennessee, on December 24. The arrest was made in connection to an incident where she was accused of stabbing the father of her child during a custody visit earlier in the month, specifically on December 4.
According to court records obtained by the local NBC affiliate WMC in Memphis, Knowles faced charges of aggravated assault and arming herself with a knife. She had to post a $15,000 bond, which was done on December 25.

Details from the documents reveal that on December 4, Knowles and the man, referred to as “Walker” by WMC, were having a custody exchange at his mother’s residence. An argument between the two parents escalated outside the house and turned physical. Knowles walked away initially but returned with a knife, allegedly assaulting the man with injuries to his hands and neck.
While the injuries weren’t serious, WMC reported that he was taken to Regional One Health Medical Center. He identified Knowles as the person who allegedly attacked him. It is unknown where the child was at the time of the attack.
The man’s mother was the one who called the police on Dec. 4 and reported the altercation between Knowles and her son.
Knowles posted her bond and was released. She is due in court on Dec. 27.
