SEAN Hannity and Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt have announced their engagement
Hannity popped the question to Earhardt on Christmas day at their home church.
“We are overjoyed and so thankful to our families for all their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives,” the couple told Fox News.
Hannity and Earhardt, 48, told the outlet they had “the blessing and support from their children, who couldn’t be happier.”
The renowned host of the primetime Hannity show, 62, shares two children, Patrick and Merri, with his ex-wife Jill Rhodes.
Hannity and Rhodes divorced in June 2020 after 27 years of marriage.
Earhardt, a co-host on Fox & Friends, has a daughter with former Clemson University quarterback Will Proctor, who she divorced in October 2019.
Hannity and Earhardt, who share a strong belief in God, saw the church as the perfect setting to become engaged, as they shared with Fox News.
After their engagement, the couple met with their minister.
The two have been able to make their relationship work despite Earhardt residing in New York and Hannity moving to Florida in early 2024.
The couple regularly travels to New York or Florida during the weekends, Fox News reported.
The couple both have long-term contracts with Fox News Media and hold each other’s careers in high regard. Earhardt will continue co-hosting ‘Fox & Friends’ from New York while Hannity will keep hosting ‘Hannity’ from Florida.
Rumors about Hannity and Earhardt being in a relationship started in the summer of 2019 when they attended a wedding at Trump National Golf Course in Colts Neck, New Jersey, arriving together on a helicopter, as reported by Vanity Fair.
“Hannity emerged from the chopper with [Fox & Friends host] Ainsley Earhardt, and they made this grand entrance together,” one former Fox executive told the magazine.
“People were like, Wow, okay.”
But despite their glamorous impression, Hannity and Earhardt prefer to keep their private lives out of the spotlight, Fox News reported.
The outlet said the couple, who were both previously married, “still get along well” with their ex-spouses, and “everyone is supportive of each other.”
“We actually made them aware this was happening ahead of time,” the couple said.
Record-breaker Sean Hannity
Sean Hannity is America’s longest-running host in cable news history.
He hit the landmark in April 2022 after racking up 25 years, six months, and 15 days (at the time) on the air.
He broke the record previously held by CNN’s Larry King.
“I am extremely grateful to Fox News Media and to our loyal, dedicated viewers whom I am proud to serve every night,” Hannity said in a statement.
The host first joined Fox’s primetime in 1996 as co-host of Hannity & Colmes.
The show pitted him against liberal host Alan Holmes – and against Larry King, who held the same timeslot on CNN.
He would eventually overtake King in the ratings battle.
Hannity has been the solo host of his self-named show at 9pm since 2009.
