Candice Miller Reportedly Auctioning Off Belongings After Husband's Death

Influencer and socialite Candice Miller is said to be liquidating her possessions following the passing of her husband Brandon Miller, which resulted in her being heavily in debt.

According to reports from Page Six, numerous items from Candice’s residence, including contemporary artwork and furniture, are apparently up for grabs in a clearance auction. The items can be found listed on the Auction Ninja website.

The Auction Ninja website currently features a sale for a curated online auction at the Mecox Bay Water Mill Estate. (Candice, at 42 years old, and Brandon, who passed away at 43 in 2024, were the owners of a grand mansion in Water Mill, New York.)

“Mecox Bay Water Mill Estate, an exclusive curated online auction, offers a unique opportunity to bid on eclectic and high-end items from a beautifully designed Hamptons home created by renowned interior designer Julie Hillman,” an online description reads. “Known for her sophisticated blend of modern and traditional styles, Hillman’s design for this coastal retreat is a true reflection of her signature aesthetic — mixing luxurious comfort with timeless elegance.”

Influencer Candice Miller is reportedly in debt after her husband Brandon Miller’s death earlier this year. Candice, 42, recently filed court papers obtained by The New York Times on Friday, December 27, claiming that Brandon had been $33.6 million in debt when he died in July. According to the former “Mama & Tata” social media […]

The statement adds, “The auction features a carefully selected collection of fine art, furniture, decor, and bespoke pieces that were part of the home’s decor, providing an exclusive chance to own a piece of this stunning, meticulously crafted living space. For collectors and design enthusiasts, this is an unmissable opportunity to acquire rare, beautifully curated items with the unique touch of a celebrated designer.”

The auction does not mention either Candice or Brandon by name and is scheduled to close on Tuesday, January 7.

Brandon, a prominent financier, died by suicide in July 2024 at the age of 43. He is survived by wife Candice, who previously ran the “Mama & Tata” lifestyle blog, and their two children.

“Candice is devastated by the loss of her soul mate, and her two young daughters’ lives are forever impacted by the loss of their beloved daddy,” a family spokesperson said in a statement at the time.

Two months later, Candice was sued for $195,000 in unpaid rent on their Manhattan condo. In court documents obtained by Us Weekly, Candice was accused of failing to pay the monthly cost. Candice’s attorneys filed a new response late last month, arguing that she shouldn’t be involved in the case as her name was never on the apartment lease.

According to The New York Times, Candice also claimed in the December 2024 court documents that Brandon was $33.6 million in debt at the time of his death. She alleged that she only has $8,000 in a bank account and is subsequently unable to repay his loans. The Times further reported that Candice also benefitted from $15 million worth of Brandon’s life insurance policies and sold their joint residence earlier that month.

Candice alleged in the docs that she had no knowledge of Brandon’s financial situation ahead of his death. She has not publicly addressed the court battle.
