Business class passenger banned from United Airlines after peeing on stranger midway through long-haul flight

A UNITED Airlines business class passenger has been banned from flying after they allegedly peed on a stranger during a long-haul flight.

Jerome Gutierrez was on a trip from San Francisco to Manila, Philippines when a fellow passenger stood up from his seat and urinated on him about four hours after the plane took off.

Mr Gutierrez, who was asleep at the time of the shocking incident, had to remain seated wearing his soaked clothes for eight more hours.

Nicole Cornell, Gutierrez’s stepdaughter, told SFGATE: “[Gutierrez] was asleep and buckled in and was surprised when he looked at the man.

“He thought he was dreaming before realising he was soaked from his stomach down in that man’s urine.”

Cornell mentioned that the flight attendants advised Gutierrez “not to approach the man to avoid a potential conflict that could escalate into violence.”

She said: “I am so disgusted and in shock with how United Airlines handled this.

“That is a biohazard, and the plane should’ve turned around to address this issue. They put the needs of the airline before my stepdad‘s health.”

It is understood the man who allegedly urinated on Gutierrez later apologised and begged him “not to press charges.”

A spokesperson for United Airlines told the New York Post that a man was banned from flying after “a passenger disturbance” on the flight.

They stated: “On December 28, we requested police to meet our flight upon arrival in Manila to address a disturbance caused by a passenger. As a result, we have banned that passenger from our airline.”

It comes after a body was discovered in the wheel well of a United Airlines aircraft after landing in Hawaii on Christmas Eve.

The flight took off from Chicago and was headed to Maui.

However, the harrowing sight was discovered when the United Airlines flight landed at Kahului Airport.

The body was found in the wheel well of one of the main landing gears, the airline company said.

“The wheel well was only accessible from outside of the aircraft,” United Airlines said in a statement.

“At this time, it is not clear how or when the person accessed the wheel well.”

The person’s gender or identity has not been determined.

United Airlines said it was working with local law enforcement on the incident.

Maui police did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The U.S. Sun.

The police department told Hawaii News Now they are investigating the case.

The incident did not affect United Airlines’ flight operations or that at Kahului Airport.
