Illegal migrant charged with molesting Florida girl, 5, says family accused him over immigration status

An unauthorized immigrant from Guatemala was taken into custody on suspicion of sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl within her residence during two separate occasions, with the accused individual refuting the allegations.

Nicolas Jose Francisco, 25, faces two counts of sexual battery of a child under 12. He is being held without bail at the Palm Beach County jail.

The suspect, known as Francisco, had been employed by the family of the young victim for over a year before the purported molestation incidents took place in the family’s garage and bathroom, according to a report by WFLX.

The girl initially disclosed the alleged abuse to both the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Children and Families on December 13.

Deputies said Francisco later “apologized and admitted his behavior and actions were wrong.”

Francisco appeared before a judge on Friday morning.
