Adam Brody and Leighton Meester's $6.5m LA home burns down amid devastating Pacific Palisades wildfires

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s LA home has been destroyed in the devastating Pacific Palisades wildfire.

Stunning images displayed the formerly beautiful family home in the glamorous celebrity neighborhood now a charred ruin on Wednesday, with the roof destroyed and flames tearing through the interiors.

The windows have smashed and black smoke was seen pouring out of the home.

The 45-year-old star of Nobody Wants This and the 38-year-old Gossip Girl actress were last seen together in public at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, just under 48 hours before the fire began.

The pair bought the home back in 2019 for $6.5million. They lived there with their two young children.

The home had five bedrooms, six bathrooms and three floors spread over 6,000 square feet.

LA’s fire chief said on Wednesday morning that the fires have left at least two dead, as well as many ‘significant injuries.’

The Palisades Fire broke out on Tuesday morning amid high winds in a region that hasn’t seen significant rainfall in more than six months.

Over 30,000 people have been evacuated, often leaving with just their pets and the shirts on their backs.

Sunset Boulevard in the Palisades was packed with abandoned luxury cars as residents left their vehicles to flee on foot.

Blocks of expensive homes were reduced to rubble as the fires advanced at the rate of three football field lengths per minute.

A stretch of homes on the beach along Pacific Coast Highway have been burned to the ground.

The fire reached the Getty Villa but officials from the museum assured the public that all of the art and artifacts are safe.

Not the sole fire burning in Los Angeles, the Palisades fire is accompanied by the Eaton fire in the Pasadena region, resulting in two fatalities and the evacuation of a retirement center.

Jamie Lee Curtis has evacuated and does not know if her home has burned down or not.

‘My community and possibly my home is on fire,’ began the icon who had to evacuate the area.’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well.

‘There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information. PLEASE POST FACTS! IT WILL HELP THOSE WONDERING!’

Many celebrities have been impacted by the fires.

Ben Affleck was seen driving away from it on Tuesday. He has a house in the area as does his ex Jennifer Garner.

Mandy Moore had to evacuate.  James Woods and Steve Guttenberg have said their properties are damaged.

Several A-list celebrities live in the area including Reese Witherspoon, Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn and Tom Hanks.

Paris Hilton, 43, took to her Instagram Story to share a horrifying aerial photo of the havoc the blaze has created.

She wrote: ‘Praying for LA/California [face holding back tears and prayer hands emojis]’

Meanwhile Hailey Bieber, 28,reposted a Complex photo with ‘BREAKING NEWS Palisades wildfire grows, burning more than 1,200 acres.’

Hailey posted a crying and heartbroken emoji with the caption: ‘Praying everyone is safe.’

Elle Fanning shared a photo posted by Rolling Stone of two firefighters battling the blaze.

She captioned the image: ‘Absolutely devastating. My thoughts are with everyone affected by the tragic fires in LA and the heroic firefighters risking their safety.’

Chris Pratt and his mother-in-law, Maria Shriver, have also asked for prayers.

‘Please send prayers and strength tonight to everyone in Los Angeles affected by these devastating fires. Los Angeles is in a state of emergency and over 30,000 have been ordered to evacuate,’ Pratt, 45, captioned a slideshow, featuring a photo of a firefighter battling a blaze as well as views of smoke towering over Santa Monica.

He continued: ‘Thank you to the brave firefighters and first responders who are working tirelessly to protect lives, homes, and wildlife as they battle fast-moving wildfire fueled by fierce winds. You are true heroes, and we are endlessly grateful for your sacrifice and courage.’

The Guardians of the Galaxy star, who welcomed his third child with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger in November, urged his 45.2 million followers to ‘come together to support one another during this tough time.’

Shriver, 69, asked her followers to send their ‘prayers to Los Angeles,’ where ‘30,000 people have been ordered to evacuate as wildfires burn out of control.’

‘Almost 1200 acres of land are on fire, with gusts of wind that could reach up to 100 m.p.h., threatening even more damage, forcing more people from their homes, and causing destruction. It’s moments like this that make us recognize what truly matters — that things are only things,’ she stated. ‘Please pay attention if you are asked to evacuate.’
