CHICAGO — Kohl’s has announced the closure of more than two dozen stores, including ones in Chicago’s suburbs.
The department store chain said Thursday the 27 underperforming stores will be closed by April.
The stores in Plainfield at 11860 S. Route 59 and West Dundee at 3000 Spring Hill Ring Road will be closing.
“As we focus on our long-term growth strategy, we must also make tough but necessary decisions to ensure the well-being and future of our business for our customers and employees,” stated Tom Kingsbury, CEO of Kohl’s.
Kohl’s has more than 1,150 locations.
