A brother and sister from Mississippi were sentenced for seeking to hire a hit man to murder their stepfather for his life insurance proceeds.

Judges revealed the sentences for Joshua Druid Bryan, aged 29, and Regan Emily Bryan, aged 30, on Tuesday. Regan Bryan was given a 65-month prison term, which is equivalent to nearly 5 ½ years behind bars, as stated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office through a press release.

She admitted guilt to a charge of conspiracy to commit murder for hire. On the other hand, Joshua Bryan received a 120-month sentence, equal to a decade in prison. He was convicted in the case in December 2023.
