Spencer Pratt plans to SUE State of California after house burns down as LA mayor Karen Bass faces fierce criticism

Spencer Pratt reveals plans to sue the State of California after his home was tragically burnt down in the Pacific Palisades wildfires.

The former reality star, who is married to Heidi Montag, announced his plans to sue California for their alleged negligence that led to the destruction of his home.

He shared with blogger Perez Hilton how he tried to seek help from the Los Angeles Fire Department while witnessing his property engulfed in flames.

He expressed his frustration, saying, ‘They never came. The gate was still locked. They never came. I watched from my security cameras until our house burned down. There were no fire trucks.’

As his home burned down, Pratt insisted that he called 911 and informed them that if they sent ‘one fire truck’ to his street that they ‘could stop [the fire from] coming down the whole freaking area.’

In response to his suggestion to bring in a truck, he said he was told that the fire department didn’t ‘have the assets.’

The couple’s home, reportedly worth $3 million, was flattened to the ground after the raging fire took over the LA landscape and wreaked fiery havoc on Tuesday evening, and photos obtained by DailyMail.com on Wednesday showed the severity of the devastation.

The only parts of the home still standing were the charred entry gate and the front portion of the home’s stucco perimeter wall. Large piles of debris were seen throughout the property as well as burnt foliage that once decorated the home’s front yard.

Not only was the couple’s residence destroyed, but Pratt’s parents also lost their home to the fire.

His decision to sue comes amid widespread backlash against Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ lack of preparation and rapid response to the wildfires.

Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump has blamed Gavin Newsom, the Governor of California, for the killer wildfires that have ravaged the state.

Earlier this week, Trump tore into Newsom for being unprepared for the devastating wildfires that have cropped up all around Los Angeles causing immeasurable damage.

The wildfires, numbering up to four separate blazes, have already scorched thousands of acres, burnt scores of structures and caused what appears to be billions of dollars in damage.

The Palisades Fire, which began in Pacific Palisades, California, and currently is the most ferocious of all the blazes, has already torched beach-side homes from Malibu to Santa Monica, and as of Friday evening is just eight percent contained.

On Friday, the former reality star, who is married to Heidi Montag, announced that he intends on filing a lawsuit against California due to their alleged negligence that resulted in the loss of his residence

Pratt and Montag, who rose to fame on The Hills, previously stated that they were in state of disbelief and devastation as they opened up about the loss in a recent TikTok post.

In various TikToks, Montag grew emotional about the blaze as she processed the stunning loss.

While sitting on the couch with one of her children, Montag sobbed: ‘Sad our house is gone’ she cried, later saying, ‘Everything you worked so hard for…’

Her child served as a comforting distraction as he periodically touched her face, making her smile. ‘Thank you,’ she ended the video with a giggle.

In another video, Montag assured everyone she and her family were safe while confirming the loss of their home.

‘While we ended up losing our house in the fire and thank God we are safe, so thank you to everyone who’s checking, thank you for all your prayers, thank you for your thoughts. It’s,’ she said, emotion growing on her face. ‘No words.’

Pratt attempted to cheer himself up on Wednesday with some bagels.

The reality alum, who was seen Tuesday watching the flames move towards his home, admitted he was in a state of shock and conceded his video was quite ‘unhinged.’

‘When your house burns down and you have nothing and your parents house burns down and they have nothing. There’s only one thing that can maybe make you feel better – a bag of bagels!’ he said gleefully.

‘Obviously I’m in shock and my brain’s not functioning, so think is the most unhinged post you’ve seen.’

Sources told TMZ that Pratt and Montag’s home was completely destroyed after catching fire on Tuesday.

Luckily, the couple and their two sons were able to safely evacuate earlier in the day before the flames got too close.

However, they are said to be distraught by the staggering loss.

More than 30,000 residents evacuated their homes as a massive wildfire ripped through the celeb enclave of Pacific Palisades, burning nearly 3,000 acres and reducing dozens of homes to rubble.
