A man from Florida tragically failed in his attempt at a murder-suicide in Edgewater. The incident took place shortly after midnight on Saturday morning. However, the man was only successful in taking his own life, while his wife was left hospitalized as a result.
The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said the husband and wife were arguing and that he shot his wife and then killed himself.
Deputies arrived on the scene at about 12:17 a.m. and found the husband dead. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for traetment.
On Sunday afternoon, they said she was listed in stable condition
The sheriff’s office said they had no prior history of deomestic violence incidents. Their names were not released.
