ACTRESS Nicole Kidman reckons the perfect sex scene involves “grunting”.
The star, 57, emits animalistic noises during wild romps in her new erotic drama Babygirl.
She plays a CEO who has an fling with an intern, played by Harris Dickinson, 28.
Nicole reinforces the idea that realistic sex scenes should replace the glossier portrayals seen in many Hollywood movies, as she believes it is a significant aspect of human nature.
She added: “I think sex is still not explored enough on screen, particularly in American films.
“European cinema is a different matter; it’s just part of what they do.
“But America, England, Australia — we don’t talk about it.”
Some of the scenes are so intimate that Kidman has said she could not “orgasm any more” during filming and needed a break.
The Oscar-winner added: “There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration.
During filming, she admitted to moments of discomfort, expressing resistance towards the intimate scenes and the pressure to perform in a way that felt authentic.
“I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life!
“I’m over it. It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.”
