Cheryl Burke, a former contestant on Dancing With The Stars, shared that out of the many men she danced with on the show, two of them stood out remarkably. These two individuals were Rob Kardashian and Jack Osbourne.
In a recent episode of her podcast, Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans, Burke disclosed that she had an exceptionally enjoyable time dancing with these two stars. She expressed her surprise at how much fun she had with them, stating, “I was shockingly surprised, I guess. I didn’t expect to have such a great season like I did.”
Burke admitted that her expectations weren’t “very high” going into those seasons, adding “it’s shocking at the end how far we got.”
Burke made it all the way to second place with Kardashian in Season 13, and third place with Osbourne in Season 17.
Despite having preconceived notions about their personalities based on their public personas, Burke found both Jack Osbourne and Rob Kardashian to be quite different from what she initially expected. She mentioned, “Their reputations, my judgment of these two people, Jack and Rob, they were, in a way, spoiled brats when I witnessed them on MTV, and witnessed Rob on The Kardashians when he was younger. But these two men, they’re totally not what you would expect… I just love the fact that we got along, and they didn’t take themselves too seriously,” she added.
Burke credited their success to both Osbourne and Kardashian’s experience on reality television. Kardashian, of course, grew up in front of the camera on Keeping Up With The Kardashians from 2007 to 2021.
Osbourne’s family also appeared with his famous parents, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, in the short-lived MTV reality show The Osbournes.
“I tend to gravitate and enjoy my seasons when it’s with a reality star or an athlete, but mainly a reality star,” Burke explained.
She said reality stars are “so used to cameras in their face that they don’t try and be another person. They are just who they are because cameras don’t faze them… The fact that people were betting against us and we made it to the finals is pretty spectacular.”
“Both of those partnerships are memories that I will take with me and cherish forever,” she said.
Burke joined the cast in Season 2, when she quickly won the coveted Mirrorball trophy with partner Drew Lachey.
The professional dancer ultimately exited the series in 2022 after Season 31.
