The debut of Meghan Markle’s new show With Love, Meghan on Netflix has been delayed at the request of the Duchess of Sussex to prioritize assisting victims affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles.
She expressed gratitude towards Netflix for their understanding in postponing the launch in order to concentrate on aiding those impacted by the wildfires in her home state of California. The decision was made in collaboration with Netflix, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The series was set to premiere on Netflix Jan. 15, and has now been pushed two months. Its new premiere date is March 4.
With a theme described as a “heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California,” With Love, Meghan showcases the Duchess of Sussex embracing a Martha Stewart-like persona, offering lifestyle and recipe advice while surrounded by friends. Many view this series as a natural progression from her previous lifestyle blog, The Tig, which featured cooking content during her acting career.
Markle, a Los Angeles native, and Prince Harry have been providing aid through their Archewell Foundation, donating supplies and volunteering with the World Central Kitchen in Pasadena where they helped distribute food, per People.
The Netflix series was filmed in Montecito, California, where Markle now resides with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
With Love, Meghan will feature Mindy Kaling, Alice Walker and Roy Choi as guests. Prince Harry will also make an appearance.
Not everyone is eagerly awaiting the first episode. Meghan McCain recently called Markle’s new series “out of touch,” claiming that it’s coming at a time when “there have been two terror attacks in two days, major wars raging and Americans can’t pay for groceries.”
Markle executive produces the series, which is also produced by her production company, Archewell Productions.
