A 72-year-old man in Florida was taken into custody after reportedly attempting to harm his ex-wife’s new husband by stabbing him in the stomach on Thanksgiving morning. The incident took place at a residence on MacGregor Drive in Pensacola, as per the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies were alerted to a possible stabbing around 11:15 a.m. following a 911 call.

Gregory Grant was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with one count of attempted homicide, records reviewed by Law&Crime show.

The authorities discovered that the suspect, Grant, had been residing temporarily with his ex-wife and her current spouse. An altercation between Grant and the new husband resulted in the violent act. The victim sustained a stab wound to the upper abdomen during the confrontation. The details of the dispute that led to the violent incident have not been fully disclosed.
