Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election has filled us with delight because it means he will come in to fix things, and it’s about time for all the unpleasant individuals to leave.
Joe Biden isn’t out the door until Monday. But for many of his people, their final day was Friday.
When some of them departed from their workplaces, they were greeted with applause from their subservient assistants. However, in a sense, the applause was fitting because we are all applauding their departure.
First up: Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

Austin’s most memorable moment was probably when he disappeared due to illness without informing anyone at a crucial time. Moreover, the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan occurred under his leadership, and there has been no accountability for that. In contrast, Pete Hegseth is unlikely to vanish like Austin or evade responsibility.
Upgrade level? Huge.
There was also Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. I’m not sure why there was a rap serenade on the way out.

Yellen was clueless when it came to inflation, first claiming inflation was transitory, then blaming it on everything but Biden’s spending. She was the face of “everything is fine, believe what we say not what your wallet is telling you.” Not exactly a great campaign move because we could all see that the economy was not great for us–no matter what she claimed.
Upgrade? Scott Bessent has criticized current economic policies for exacerbating inflation and deficits. He advocates extending the Trump tax cuts that benefitted so many people in Trump’s first term. He certainly knows more about the economy than Yellen.
