PODCASTER Theo Von suffered an embarrassing incident during the inauguration of President Trump after the chair he was sitting on collapsed.
Video shared by fellow influencer Logan Paul shows the interviewer falling backwards into his lap after his chair gives way underneath him.
Logan Paul shared the hilarious mishap in a short clip posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the video, Logan is filming himself as he watches the speeches taking place at the Capitol during Monday’s inauguration ceremonies.
Suddenly, Theo Von, who is sitting in the row in front, tumbles backward without warning.
It comes as…
Attendees in the surrounding seats, including Logan’s brother Jake Paul, react with shock, and some of them with more than a little frustration.
Off-camera, an audible shushing sound is heard from someone angry at the disruption.
Logan asks Theo if he is alright, before declaring he predicted a similar accident would occur.
Sharing the video on X, Logan Paul referred to the MAGA movement as he jokingly wrote, “Make chairs great again.”
Many viewers were left in stitches over the fall.
“I’m convinced that Theo Von is the only person that something like this would happen to at a presidential inauguration,” one X user wrote.
“On Theo’s next podcast, he’s gonna talk about how he was almost assassinated at Trump’s inauguration by Kamala chairs,” another joked.
The attendees at Monday’s ceremony all sat on basic metal folding chairs indoors in the Capitol’s Rotunda due to a cold spell in DC.
The quality of the chairs was called into question by another X user.
“They were really making y’all sit on these $5 plastic chairs from Walmart SMH,” they wrote.
Although the Paul brothers are known for their pranks, there is no suggestion they were behind Theo’s tumble.
However, some were less than convinced that the fall wasn’t staged.
“Turns on the camera exactly when Theo Von falls out of his chair,” one user wrote. “Yeah, 100% real.”
Quick-witted Theo, a stand-up comedian and podcaster, joked about a chair giving way underneath him, referring to it as one of “Kamala’s chairs,” making a playful dig at the outgoing Vice President.
He then went to join Logan and Jake Paul in their row before asking if he could see the video.
Theo Von recently interviewed Trump on his This Past Weekend podcast.
Theodor Capitani von Kurnatowski III, known as Theo, has interviewed various political figures on his podcast, such as Bernie Sanders, JD Vance, and Donald Trump.
However, Kamala Harris noticeably did not appear on Theo’s podcast during the election campaign.
The Democrat’s decision to shun several majorly popular podcasts including The Joe Rogan Show has been slammed by many political strategists in the wake of her crushing defeat in November’s presidential election.
Speaking on FOX News in November, political strategist Suzy Weiss said that reports claimed Harris hadn’t appeared on Rogan’s podcast because of fears of a “backlash of progressive staffers” if she did.
She added that the Democrats would “continue to lose” if they allowed those on the left of the party to govern its agenda.
Theo Von later posted on X about the inauguration but didn’t refer to his fall.
“Got a chance to go to the presidential inauguration today and I just can’t believe I got to be at that,” he wrote.
“Some countries don’t even let you vote. Just felt really lucky to see that.”
