Executive actions signed by President Trump on his first day in office

In Washington, D.C. (KFSN), President Donald Trump took action on his return to office by signing a set of executive orders. These actions were aimed at making rapid changes while also emphasizing the country’s significance on the global stage.

Surrounded by supporters at the Capital One arena, Trump signed an executive order to remove the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement.

Trump went on to declare a national emergency on the Southern Border while designating criminal cartels as terror groups.

He also signed an executive order to bring an end to birthright citizenship for children born to undocumented parents.

Upon returning to the Oval Office, the 47th president granted pardons to over 1,500 individuals who had been charged in connection with the breach of the US Capitol on January 6th, 2021.

That included commuting the sentences of those convicted.

Among the other orders President Trump signed on Monday was the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

Trump also signed an executive order to delay the ban on TikTok for 75 days.

The ban on the social media app went into effect on Sunday and TikTok went dark for several hours Saturday night.
