Four wounded in stabbing 'terror attack' in Israel
In Tel Aviv, Israel, a man armed with a weapon was fatally shot following a violent stabbing incident.

Israeli law enforcement reported that four individuals sustained injuries during a stabbing incident that occurred in the heart of Tel Aviv on Tuesday evening local time (Wednesday morning AEDT).

Two people were in moderate condition and two had light wounds, according to Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency rescue service.

Ichilov Hospital said one person was in moderate-severe condition with a stab wound to the neck.

Although the assailant was not explicitly identified by the authorities, they suspect the stabbings were motivated by terrorism. The attack transpired in a vibrant district teeming with eateries and coffee shops.

It’s understood the attacker was shot dead by an armed civilian.

In a separate stabbing incident in Tel Aviv just over the weekend, another individual was left with severe injuries, and the perpetrator was similarly shot and injured by the police.

Palestinians have carried out scores of shooting, stabbing and car-ramming attacks against Israelis across Israel and the occupied West Bank, especially during the past 15 months of the Israel-Hamas war.

There has also been a sharp rise in attacks on Palestinians by Israeli settlers.
