Trump-Hating Leftists Descended On Washington Mall Ahead Of Inauguration

Last Updated on January 21, 2025

A massive crowd of socialist, liberal, progressive and socialist groups are amassed in the nation’s capitol to protest the election of President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration at the “People’s March.”

Attendees toughed out the cold in a bizarre ritual supporting the killing of pre-born babies and sodomy.

The People’s March, previously known as the Women’s March that took place during Trump’s first inauguration eight years ago, has seen a decrease in participation.

The common factor among the groups is they’re all “Anti-Trump.”

Compared to 2016 and 2020, there was a significantly larger police presence in D.C. This was a measure taken to prevent a recurrence of the violent incidents that occurred in the city before Inauguration Day in 2017. During that time, violent individuals caused destruction, such as breaking glass storefronts and setting limousines on fire, leading to heightened security in the capital.

The organizers of the Women’s March extended invitations to various groups including Democratic Socialists, LGBTQIA activists, supporters of open borders, anti-war advocates, pro-Palestinian activists, and proponents of climate change, all gathering under The People’s March banner.

President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance will be inaugurated into office on Monday, Jan. 20, 2025

The presidential inauguration is scheduled to begin at noon ET.

The Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies is planning the inauguration, which includes the inaugural address; a signing ceremony, where Trump will take his first official actions as president; and a parade down Pennsylvania Avenue among other festivities.

Several celebrities are expected to perform on Inauguration Day, including country star Carrie Underwood, who will sing “America the Beautiful” just before Trump takes the oath of office.

“It’s really healing to be here with all of you today in solidarity and togetherness, in the face of what’s going to be some really horrible extremism,” Mini Timmaraju, the head of advocacy group Reproductive Freedom for All, told the crowd as events kicked off.

Other protesters gathered at two other parks also near the White House, with one group focused on democracy and immigration and another on local Washington issues,

Vendors hawked buttons that said #MeToo and “Love trumps hate,” and sold People’s March flags for $10. Demonstrators carried posters that read “Feminists v. Fascists” and “People over politics.”

Lillian Fenske, 31, drove six hours from Greensboro, North Carolina, to participate. Her signs expressed concern over oligarchs and the disunity. “America is not for sale,” said one, while another said simply, “Divided We Fall.”

Fox news continues:

The 2017 Women’s March took place on the day after Trump’s inauguration. Celebrities like America Ferrera, Madonna, Ashley Judd, Cher, Katy Perry, Amy Schumer, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Michael Moore, Debra Messing, Patricia Arquette and others attended the march.
