DONALD Trump’s beloved granddaughter Kai, 17, showed her confidence by rocking a gorgeous silver gown at an inaugural ball.
According to a fashion expert, the daring choice of dress indicates that the teenager has the necessary qualities to carry on the legacy of Make America Great Again, which was initiated by influential women like Melania and Ivanka.
On Monday evening, the Trump family ended the day’s festivities by stopping by the Liberty Ball in Washington DC for a night of dancing.
First Lady Melania, 54, stunned in a bold black-and-white dress designed by Hervé Pierre, her personal stylist of eight years.
She was joined by her husband, who held her close in a black tux as they enjoyed the first dance of their second term.
Meanwhile, Ivanka looked gorgeous in an Audrey Hepburn-inspired white ball gown with elegant black embroidery.
The flowing dress recreated a 1954 Givenchy gown made for Hepburn’s movie Sabrina.
However, stealing the limelight was Kai, who rocked a shining silver dress made by American designer Sherri Hill.
Kai, the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump, has amassed a large following within the MAGA community due to her appearances at rallies and her successful golfing endeavors.
She’s Trump’s eldest grandchild and represents the next generation of the political dynasty.
During an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun, Amanda Sanders, a celebrity stylist who has collaborated with stars such as Chris Rock and Jennifer Coolidge, mentioned that despite her young age, Kai displayed remarkable confidence while wearing the mentioned dress.
“She’s comfortable in her own skin,” said Sanders, a renowned image consultant.
“She’s not new to the media. There’s an air of confidence.”
Sanders said the look was “age-appropriate” but stood out in the sea of other gowns worn by older women at the big event.
The consultant felt Kai could have benefitted from a more regal look but was still impressed by her sureness despite growing up in the limelight.
‘A GOLDEN ERA’
Before the ball began, Kai revealed her sparkling dress in a fun video she shared on X.
The post earned over 175,000 likes as delighted MAGA fans showered her with compliments.
“Beautiful young lady, have a great time tonight,” said one follower.
Another wrote, “Stunning Kai! I know you’re so proud of your grandpa.”
“America is experiencing a golden era,” gushed a different fan.
Who stole the Inauguration Ball fashion crown?
Fabulous’ Deputy Fashion Editor, Abby McHale, gives her take on the political dance floor.
Old school 1950’s Hollywood glamour seemed to be the theme for the ladies of the Trump family at the Liberty Ball last night.
Melania, sticking to her monochrome color palette seen throughout the day, wore a Hervé Pierre strapless dress, complete with a black choker and broach dating back to 1955, borrowed from Harry Winston.
And she wasn’t the only member of the family wearing something with sentiment to the past, with Ivanka Trump donning a recreation of a Givenchy dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in 1954.
Melania knows how to look classy, subtly stealing the crown of best dressed with sharp silhouettes that still hug her figure and a clean color palette.
She also knows what style suits her, having worn another Hervé Pierre dress to Trump’s first inauguration ball back in 2017.
The only member of the family who didn’t echo the muted hues of the rest was Lara Trump, opting for a fiery Republican red number instead.
Tiffany and Kai Trump, on the other hand, went for glitzier options, with the latter’s dress giving prom vibes that you would naturally expect of a 17-year-old.
All in all, out in full force they have brought back the fashion of the Gilded Age, opulent and luxurious.
Kai has amassed millions of followers across her social media accounts and often posts about her burgeoning golf career.
In August, she announced that she had verbally committed to play at the University of Miami after high school.
Last year, Kai spoke at the 2024 Republican National Convention, where she opened up about Trump being a “normal grandpa” who always pushes her to be her best.
She said Trump tried to get in her head when they played golf together, but he could never keep her down.
Kai Madison Trump’s remarks at the RNC
Kai Madison Trump, 17, spoke at the Republican National Convention on July 17.
“To me, he’s just a normal grandpa,” Kai said.
“He calls me during the school day to ask me how my golf game is going.”
Kai said she has to then remind Trump she’s in school and she’ll call him back later.
“He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking,” she continued.
Kai also mentioned his pride in his grandchildren, recalling a time he printed out her honor roll certificate and hung it up.
“Obviously, he sets the bar pretty high, but who knows, maybe one day I’ll catch him,” Kai continued.
“A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell and he’s still standing.”
“And he’s always surprised that I don’t let him get to me,” she said.
“I have to remind him that I’m a Trump too.”
The speech has led to an outpouring of support for Kai, who along with Trump’s son Barron, has been hailed as the future of the MAGA movement.
Ivanka, a mainstay in her father’s first administration, has said she won’t take up a role during his second term.
She and her husband, Jared, will remain in Florida.
“I love policy and impact. I hate politics,” she said on the Skinny Confidential’s Him & Her Show podcast.
“And unfortunately, the two are not separable.”
