A Kentucky man wanted for shooting a Wendy’s employee because his fries weren’t hot enough turned himself in last week to face two counts of assault.

Monjah D. James-Wooten was desired in connection with the incident on January 6 where a Wendy’s employee was shot by the Louisiville Metro Police Department. Surrendering on January 17, James-Wooten is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

Authorities reported that the shooting occurred shortly past 10:30 p.m. following a verbal dispute involving James-Wooten, two women accompanying him, and the drive-thru employee. The altercation continued inside the restaurant after James-Wooten and the women entered. Subsequently, James-Wooten and the employee, along with their respective groups, moved outside, where James-Wooten reportedly shot at the employee, according to WDRB.

The employee fired back, prompting James-Wooten to fire several more shots, hitting the employee.
