The search continues for a Pennsylvania woman who possibly fell into a sinkhole on Monday.
Search operations were stopped after a collapse in the mine roof, as stated by Trooper Cliff Greenfield. Despite this setback, specialized cameras and other tools are still being utilized to locate Elizabeth Pollard, a 64-year-old woman who went missing in Union Township, as reported by WTAE.
Pollard disappeared while she was searching for her cat. Her 5-year-old granddaughter was discovered in a vehicle only 15 to 20 feet away from where Pollard was last seen.

According to Trooper Steve Limani, the water used to clear debris in the mine is affecting its stability, posing a risk of another mine collapse. This was reported by WTAE as well.
While listening devices did not detect any sound, cameras reportedly caught a glimpse of a shoe.
“It’s a modern shoe — not something you’d find in a coal mine in Marguerite in 1940,” Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Chief John Bacha said, according to NBC News.
