Suits star Gabriel Macht has revealed he and his family no longer live in the United States, but has not disclosed the location of his new home.Â
In a recent interview with People, the 53-year-old actor shared that he preferred to keep the location of his residence private, stating, ‘I am based somewhere in Europe, but I don’t tell anybody where I live because I like to keep that under wraps’.
‘I go out of town and we’re exploring the world’.Â
Macht and his wife, Australian actress Jacinda Barrett, have two children together: daughter Satine, 17, and son Luca, 10.Â
Known for his role as Harvey Specter on the popular TV show Suits for nine seasons, the actor revealed that he took a hiatus from acting following the conclusion of the series in 2019. He expressed his desire to dedicate more time to raising his children during this period.
Reflecting on the challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic, the actor mentioned that his family, who previously resided in New York, felt the need for a change after being confined to Manhattan due to the lockdown measures. The experience prompted them to seek a different living environment.
While the actor has not disclosed where he lives, he announced in March last year that he would be participating in a production of ‘Whodunnit [Unrehearsed]’ in London’s Park Theatre.Â
‘I’m participating in Whodunnit [Unrehearsed] 3 in Finsbury Park, as part of their special fundraising run to ensure the theatre remains an inclusive venue, offering vital support to the community for many more years to come!

‘I’ll be turning my hand at detective work, joining a list of guest Inspectors lined-up to solve the mystery live on stage, without any rehearsal!’, he said in an Instagram post.Â
In December he took part in a fundraiser for the same theatre.Â
‘This December I am supporting the Park Theatre’s Big Give Campaign’, he announced in a video that was posted to the venue’s TikTok account.Â
Macht has revealed his move across the pond after scores of American celebrities have threatened to leave the US in the face of Donald Trump’s presidential win, but it appears that the actor’s change of scenery came before.Â
While many celebrities yet to follow through with leaving the US, comedian and presenter Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia De Rossi made the quick exit and moved to rural England.
Meanwhile Ugly Betty actress America Ferrera said last year that she planned to relocate to the UK with her husband Ryan Piers Williams and their kids Sebastian and Lucia, blaming Trump’s re-election.Â
Suits originally aired on USA Network for nine seasons from 2011 to 2019, and saw genius college dropout Mike Ross join a high-profile law firm alongside Harvey Specter, Jessica Pearson and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman), while Sarah Rafferty played Harvey’s no-nonsense assistant Donna Paulsen.
The Duchess of Sussex played Rachel Zane, a paralegal who becomes a formidable attorney and eventually marries Mike Ross.Â

However, Macht and co-star Patrick J. Adams, who plays Mike Ross, said last year that the pair had had ‘no communication’ with Meghan following the TV series’ streaming success.Â
At the Golden Globes in January last year, Adams and Macht presented the best TV drama award before they were joined by fellow stars Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty.
Gina – who played lawyer Jessica Pearson in the US legal drama – revealed at the LA ceremony that the ex-castmates simply ‘don’t have [Meghan’s] number’ when asked if anyone had reached out to the former actress.
An insider told Page Six that the Duchess of Sussex was invited to the event, but ‘unfortunately’ wasn’t able to make an appearance because of a ‘previous commitment’.
Macht and his wife were guests at Meghan and Prince Harry’s Royal Wedding in 2018.
