SIR Keir Starmer will have to wait at least another week to visit Donald Trump — as he heads to Brussels first.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with the leaders of the EU 27 to negotiate Britain’s inclusion in a defense treaty with the bloc. Additionally, other meetings with European leaders are on the agenda for this weekend.

But No10 sources said last night no date had yet been set for a dash to DC.

Meanwhile, Trump’s secretary of state warned Foreign Secretary David Lammy to beware China’s “malign influence”.
It came as the White House scrutinises Britain’s deal to cede sovereignty of the Chagos Islands.
Marco Rubio stressed the need for a “free and open Indo-Pacific that is secure and stable” in his first call with Mr Lammy.
