Woman robbed tow truck driver as he was taking her car: Cops

A 27-year-old woman from Tennessee has been arrested for allegedly robbing a tow truck driver at gunpoint. The incident occurred when she interrupted the driver as he was in the process of taking her SUV and proceeded to steal his vehicle instead. Kelsey Green was apprehended on Monday and is facing a charge of felony aggravated robbery, as per court documents reviewed by Law&Crime.

According to a probable cause affidavit, the incident took place on the evening of Nov. 24, 2024, outside of an apartment complex in the 1700 block of Chancery Street. The driver told investigators that at about 6:50 p.m. he was outside of the address and preparing to tow a 2018 GMC Terrain with Tennessee license plates. The driver said he stood outside of the SUV and took several photographs of the vehicle before starting the process of lifting the car.
