A veteran New Jersey politician was recorded on a body camera scolding a police officer and using foul language during a regular traffic stop.
The Democratic councilman from Paulsboro, New Jersey, named Theodore D. Holloway II, was pulled over for allegedly running a stop sign just after 10 a.m. on Jan. 4 at the intersection of Penn Line Road and West Adams Street. The standard traffic stop quickly turned into a heated argument filled with obscenities.
In body camera footage obtained by Fox News Digital, Holloway was captured seething as the local officer approaches his vehicle.
“You can’t be serious. What exactly are you getting behind me for?” Holloway asked.
The officer handling the traffic stop was commended for maintaining professionalism by Giovannitti. He mentioned that the local government was briefed on the matter and had conversations with Holloway regarding his conduct.
Holloway was eventually issued a citation for an expired vehicle registration, but not for any stop sign violation.
