President Donald Trump wasted no time on his inauguration day in irking his constantly offended critics, including swiftly having retired Gen. Mark Milley’s official portrait removed from the Pentagon hallway where it had been displayed less than two weeks earlier.

Gen. Milley, who served as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during Trump’s initial presidential term, had been pardoned in advance by then-President Joe Biden just hours before this incident, a move that raised concerns among many about the potential misuse of executive authority.
