“The most effective way to safeguard Americans, whether it’s against dangers from organizations like ISIS or in our missions to disband groups like Tren de Aragua, is to collaborate our strategies, resources, and actions with DHS, as well as with all branches of our U.S. intelligence network and law enforcement allies nationwide,” Driscoll stated.
During a sequence of specific operations in Chicago, the FBI not only contributed intelligence and specialized SWAT team personnel but also engaged legal professionals to assist in apprehending undocumented individuals with alleged criminal connections.
In New York, they provided “advanced tactical support” and helped set up a crisis management coordination center covering the whole city.
“We are and will remain postured to support DHS the best that we can over here at the FBI,” Driscoll said.
Operations across the country over the past seven days have netted roughly 5,500 suspected criminal aliens, according to numbers released by ICE.
