The woman and two children who were fatally stabbed in a Jersey City apartment have been identified by the police following a tragic incident of domestic violence. The discovery was made by the building’s superintendent.
Luis Turcos shared with The New York Post that he became aware of a disturbance in the basement unit and decided to investigate. He encountered Napoleon Romero-Anduray, 31, who had a knife in his possession.
“He went crazy and killed the two children and the mother,” Turcos said.
Upon police arrival at the scene, the bodies of Luisa Urbano, 31; Juan Martin Urbano, 9; and Diana Ramirez, 5, were found. They had all succumbed to stab wounds. Additionally, Romero-Anduray had inflicted stab wounds on himself, according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez as reported by the Daily Voice.
Suarez said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene while the children died at Jersey City Medical Center.
Romero-Anduray has been charged with three counts of murder and a weapons offense.
