A PLANE has crashed into several homes in Philadelphia leaving behind multiple casualties, according to reports.
An inquiry has been initiated following multiple reports of a luminous flash that illuminated the sky around 6pm. This event occurred only two days after the aviation incident in Washington DC.
The crash took place near to Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard, reports Action News.
Two people were believed to be on board the small plane at the time of the crash.
Footage shared on the internet depicts the roads of Northeast Philadelphia strewn with aircraft remnants while a significant blaze seems to be raging in the center of the street.
