Many bureaucracies in the federal government have employees who don’t think they need to answer to voters. One such example is the Government Services Administration (GSA), which is supposed to manage federal workspaces. However, it has been led by individuals with extreme leftist beliefs who resist any efforts at reform while promoting woke ideologies.
During President Donald Trump’s first term, the Office of Inspector General discovered that GSA staff ignored legal obligations to deploy facial recognition technology and then lied about it, justifying their actions as a matter of “racial equity.” They also introduced “lived experience” as a factor in hiring, leading to individuals within the agency hiring others from the “trans” and “queer” communities for roles they were unqualified for.

Have you heard of “18F”? It’s a tech office within the GSA that is responsible for developing, procuring, and sharing technology among all government agencies. However, 18F’s influence extended beyond this simple mandate, as they dictated everything from the language used to the conduct of federal meetings to promote “diversity and inclusion.” This is how the government came to have an “inclusion bot” monitoring employees’ language use, reprimanding them for terms like “grandfathered” and “guys.” Essentially, taxpayer money was being used to support an Orwellian bot that regulated speech.
That’s all changing now, according to investigative reporter Luke Rosiak. With Stephen Ehikian, an ally of Elon Musk, being put in charge, those left at 18F are rushing to reverse course, including deleting the code for the “inclusion bot” and making wholesale changes to regulations and policies.Â

Remember that viral video from 2022 of Kamala Harris telling people at a meeting that her pronouns are “she and her” and that she’s “wearing a blue suit?” That was the doing of 18F’s policies.

Trump has clearly learned his lesson. GSA emerged relatively unscathed during his first term, able to undermine many of his goals while continuing to pus implement DEI. That’s finally changing, and these agencies are being gutted for good reason. For too long, these bureaucracies have been appropriated by far-left activists who want to use unelected, taxpayer-paid positions to push their ideology without any accountability. No more.
