Look How Much Money Dems Get From Big Pharma - and Who Takes the Most!

During his confirmation hearings, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nominee chosen by President Donald Trump to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has faced intense questioning from Senate Democrats. Despite this, Kennedy, a member of the well-known liberal Kennedy family, has been responding in a strong and assertive manner. It appears that he has picked up a thing or two from President Trump when it comes to standing his ground.

It has been revealed that Democrats are not merely receiving funds from the pharmaceutical industry; they are receiving significant amounts of money from them. A Twitter user named “A Midwestern Doctor” (@MidwesternDoc) has provided evidence to support this claim.

Surprisingly, the amounts involved are staggering, reaching eight figures in many instances. The timeline of these contributions spans from 1990 to 2024, with notable mention that the individual in second place, Raphael Warnock (D-GA), only became a senator in 2021. In just three years, Warnock, a reverend, managed to accumulate over $14 million in contributions from Big Pharma, landing him in second place. Curiously, the top spot is occupied by another recipient.

If you guessed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I), the daffy old Boshevik from Vermont, you guessed right. The pharmaceutical companies and the organizations associated with them have been feeling the Bern to the tune of $23,193,451. “Medical Societies” are the biggest donor bribers; they’re into Bernie for over half that amount, $12,749,883. When Sanders claims he hasn’t taken any money from Big Pharma CEOs, we should notice that he’s specifying CEOs because he’s taking a lot of money from the medical societies that they doubtlessly belong to.

The Midwestern doc has an X thread on the topic, and it’s worth reading.

Bernie has, of course, always lived pretty high on the hog for a socialist. But then, that’s always the way with socialists, preaching for the ascendency of the proletariat and equality of outcomes for all workers while living in luxury dachas in the woods outside Moscow – excuse me, I mean in luxury lakefront mansions in Vermont.
