18-year-old man dies after single-car Carroll County crash

Troopers say the fatal crash happened just after 2:15 p.m. Thursday on Lemon Road Northwest near Township Road 225 in Brown Township.

An 18-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash in Carroll County on Thanksgiving afternoon, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident.

Troopers say the fatal crash happened just after 2:15 p.m. Thursday on Township Road 224 (Lemon Road Northwest) near Township Road 225 in Brown Township.

Kensington resident Ethan D. Pistory was driving eastbound on Lemon Road in a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck when it “failed to negotiate a curve” and veered left of the center line, OSHP said. The pickup truck drove off the left side of the roadway and crashed into a tree.

Pistory was transported to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead by medics in an ambulance before it arrived.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, troopers said.
