A temporary worker at a senior living home in Georgia was accused of causing the death of an 82-year-old resident after allegedly punching him, resulting in criminal charges being filed against him this week, according to authorities.

The individual, identified as 28-year-old Curtis Hightower III, was taken into custody on Sunday and is facing charges of exploitation of an elderly or disabled person as well as aggravated battery in connection to the incident that occurred on Jan. 5. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and online jail records confirmed the arrest.
