A volunteer coach for a community organization has been arrested for “an inappropriate relationship” with a 16-year-old girl.
Johnaisha Watson, 28, has been charged with two counts of felony sexual activity with a student, according to WXII.
Winston-Salem Police said the incident took place in March 2024 and was reported to authorities in August.
Watson was arrested last week after “a thorough” investigation, police said, and given a $50,000 bond.
The organization Watson worked with was not identified by the police. According to online records, she participated in basketball during her time at Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer from 2015 to 2019.
