Patrick Mahomes is hoping his newborn daughter gets to witness history at the 2025 Super Bowl.
“I’m excited for her to be able to come,” Patrick shared with reporters in a Super Bowl press conference on Tuesday, February 4. “I think it’ll be her first football game at the Super Bowl and I hope that we get her a win.”
On January 13, Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, confirmed the birth of their third child named Golden Raye. (The couple are also parents to Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” 2.)
Golden’s arrival came in the middle of playoffs for Patrick and the Kansas City Chiefs. The team ultimately earned a spot in the Super Bowl and will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9.
“It’s always motivating whenever you have another baby,” Patrick told reporters. “I mean, just because I want them to have the same experiences that the other two have.”
The Kansas City Chiefs previously won the Super Bowl in 2023 and 2024. If they win this weekend, they will make history as the first NFL team to “threepeat” the Big Game.
While Patrick remains focused on the biggest night in the NFL season, he’s also had his mind on family life.
During the press conference, the NFL quarterback said Golden Raye has “been amazing” and is “sleeping well.”
“Mom’s been extremely happy,” he added of Brittany who is more than excited to attend Super Bowl 2025.
“Here we go again👏🏼💪🏼,” she wrote via Instagram on January 28. “So beyond proud of you🥹🤍.”
Before the big game, Brittany, 29, shared a glimpse into how she watches football at a giant stadium with young kids. It appears that preparation is key to a successful day at the football field.
“We always carry safe snacks that they can eat and share with their friends,” Brittany told The Bump in February 2024. “My daughter is big into [applesauce pouches] and we love the little Nature’s Bakery Fig Bars that are nut-free, dairy-free,” she said. “My daughter’s really big into Cuties right now. Starting to learn to peel it herself. She thinks she’s such a big kid that she can peel it and eat it all by herself now. And it keeps her busy, which I love.”
The Kansas City Current co-owner also gave credit to her support team for assisting in game days.
We parent pretty well together,” Brittany continued. “Obviously, our family, pretty close friends and our nannies also help us out. They are great and phenomenal, and we are very thankful for them.”
